Naming and brand assets to capture market attention

Established by Dylan Mann in 2017, The Advice Hub aims to help Kiwis achieve their full financial potential. Starting with a personal financial plan, their experienced team offers advice on insurance, investments and loans at all stages of life, as well as advice for employee benefit plans. Dylan’s constant mantra is ‘best possible outcomes’ and the firm’s values are all about plain English transparency, focusing on clients’ needs and using the team’s depth of knowledge to provide the best possible advice.

Time and growth erode brand communication

Over the years, The Advice Hub’s visual brand had lost clarity. An evolving mixture of photographic, illustrative and cartoon images was clouding the firm’s core promise of helping Kiwis achieve their full financial potential. They asked us to help them redefine their brand and website. The brand needed to appeal to a broad audience and represent the firm’s approachable, modern, independent and relationship-driven nature.  It also needed a nationwide feel to support continued growth and awareness across each region.

Fresh brand clarity

We updated the logo using a more welcoming vibrant blue and replacing the previous rectangular speech balloon with a dynamic shape that conveys pinpointing the right direction. On the website a clear and immediate call to ‘start your financial future today’ brings the firm’s promise to the fore. Their core services are clearly set out as highly-visible tiles leading to more information. In line with the brand’s emphasis on transparency and ethics, their disclosure statement has the same prominence.  Photographic images of people are used throughout. The nationwide feel is supported by a person on their phone with the caption ‘a personal adviser – wherever you are’ and the contact page provides local adviser details by clicking regions on a map of New Zealand.
